Lucky Dragon is one of the worst jobs I have had. The culture is so unprofessional and they do not care about their employees and opportunity for advancement is not based on skill but based on favoritism. Bottom line: I really like the mellow vibe in the Lucky Dragon hotel. The room is spacious and modern without being over the top for non-technophiles. I could feel the Asiant influence in the room without being smacked in the face with a tacky theme. The hotel at Lucky Dragon a nice contrast to the lively casino next door. The combination works well together.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Lucky Dragon near the Las Vegas Strip has reopened as the Ahern Hotel.
The hotel and casino was sold to Don Ahern at an auction in 2019. He bought it for $36 million. At the time, he said that he planned to open it as a non-gaming property.
The Lucky Dragon opened in November 2016 and it was the first new build in many years on or near the Las Vegas Strip. However, it had a problem attracting customers and the owners filed for bankruptcy in February 2018.
The Ahern family is most widely known for its rental company Ahern Rentals. They also own Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel Manufacturing.
A representative for the Ahern Hotel says that the property will have 4 different sections, one of which will be a convention area. The plans for the other 3 areas are a 'surprise.'
The finished hotel will have a soft opening in July with a grand opening planned for December.

As a result of this limited number of rooms, do not be surprised to see very high room rates, especially in the initial months after the casino's opening. Many players will want to check out the newest casino and resort near the strip, and you will pay for it accordingly.
The hotel and rooms themselves have an Asian theme. Again, this is what separates Lucky Dragon from other hotels in the area, and it will be factored into the price. If you are not interested in traditional Asian décor and styling, you may not find yourself at home in the rooms at Lucky Dragon. The hotel also offers unique services like all day tea, which again is in line with Asian tradition. If you are trying to get the full experience, Lucky Dragon hotel will deliver.

As you might expect, the hotel and resort will be even more crowded than usual on these days, and the room prices will be adjusted accordingly. This casino provides a unique opportunity to get a real dose of Asian culture, whether you are new or already familiar with Chinese traditions.
