Caesars Palace has been a staple of the Las Vegas Strip since the summer of 1966 when it was opened by Jay Sarno. At the time, Caesars occupied a much smaller footprint than it does today. Since opening, the property has morphed into a behemoth with nearly 4,000 guest rooms, 675,000 square feet of retail, 300,000 square feet of convention space, and 124,181 square feet of gaming.
As one of the largest properties on the Strip, we can assure you that there are plenty of things to do at and near Caesars Palace. Below, we'll go over some the activities we recommend checking out!
Enjoy the Garden of the Gods Pool Complex: Spanning 5 acres, the stunning pool complex at Ceasars ranks among our favorite things to do at the property. Comprised of 6 different pools, you're guaranteed to find space to relax or recover from the previous night. Swim up blackjack is also offered in the Fortuna Pool.
Dining should always be on your list of things to do when you visit Caesars Palace and chances are you might have some leftovers, especially if you partake in the large, family-style portions at Carmine's inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. If you want to go shopping or take in a show after dinner it would normally be impossible to. The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace are mostly luxury stores and fine eateries. There are a couple of candy stores and souvenir type places if one is interested in that. The Forum Shops are huge. You walk in through Caesars and have no idea how large the shopping area is until you start walking it. Caesars Palace's renowned sanctuary garnered numerous awards since its 2007 opening. With its retreat-like feel, unmatched amenities, and a more holistic approach to spa-ing, the experience at Qua is an all-encompassing ride to relaxation.
Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Sunday – Thursday 10 AM – 8 PM, Friday & Saturday 10 AM – 10 PM. Destinations Store, Hertz, Karma & Luck, Landau, Le Savon, Magent Max, Marshall Rousso, Massage Envy, Nectar, Oxygen Bar, Promenade Wine & Spirits, Uno Salon. The Forum Shops at Caesars, also known as The Forum Shops, is an upscale shopping mall connected to Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.Measured in terms of sales per square foot, it is the highest grossing mall in the United States.
See Absinthe: If you're into raunchy comedy, look no further than Absinthe, a show that is among the best in Vegas. Hosted by the 'filthy' Gazillionaire, Absinthe also incorporates jaw dropping carnival acts and calls the Spiegelworld tent its home. Unlike other shows, you won't be far from the action as no seat is further than 11 rows from the stage. The word may be overused, but Absinthe is certainly an intimate experience.
As Absinthe is a popular show, we do recommend buying tickets in advance either directly with Caesars, or Vegas.com which can be a couple bucks cheaper.
Walk the Forum Shops: A themed shopping mall, Forum Shops are worth walking weather you are hoping to make a purchase or not. While there are over 160 stores, most tourists enjoy checking out attractions like the Forum Shops' 50,000 gallon aquarium, the free Fall of Atlantis show, and the many 'instagrammagle' photo ops sprinkled about.
Attack Bacchanal Buffet: As one of the buffets considered to be the best in Vegas, Bacchanal has something for every taste. Palms casino owners. Options range from crab legs, bone marrow, a made to order taco station, as well as other delicious options that are not likely to disappoint. Most options are offered in a single serve bowl, so certainly classier than troughs of food with spoons.
We recommend stopping in right before the changeover from lunch to dinner to capitalize on a lower lunch price, thin crowds, and high quality dinner options at the buffet.

Relax in the Montecristo Cigar Bar: Stocked with fine cigar options, whiskey, and small plates, Montecristo is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of milling the Strip. While a cigar bar at a luxury property in Las Vegas may seem like a spendy proposition, cigar and drink pairings start at $35 and go up from there. Pretty affordable!
Check out the Sportsbook: One of our favorite things to do at Caesars Palace is placing a bet, and watching the game from the sportsbook bar, which has a perfect view of the book's 143 foot video screen. Of course, we do this while playing at the bar top video poker machine and sipping comped drinks.
Check out free things to do near Caesars Palace: Caesars is located in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, and thus, there are a TON of things to do near the property. We recommend checking out both the Fountains of Bellagio, and Bellagio Conservatory as well as the Mirage Volcano. All are free, and awe inspiring.

Improve Your Luck: As things to do at Caesars go, put visiting (and in some cases, touching) these 'lucky' spots near the top of your list:
A Brahma Shrine is located near the Absinthe show tent and many visitors don't even know it exists. The shrine, which constructed in 1984, is said to bring good fortune.
Another popular strategy to improve ones good fortune is to touch the breasts of Cleopatra which extends outward from the Cleopatra's Barge lounge.
Lastly, rubbing the hand of Caesar's statue near the front of the casino is said to bring luck. You'll know where to rub as the hand is well worn from all the attention.
Explore the Linq Promenade: Located directly across the street from Caesars, the Linq Promenade is an outdoor pedestrian shopping mall that offers a plethora of dining, drink, and shopping options. Among our favorite things to do on the promenade include grabbing a Frozen Bailey's cocktail at O'Shea's, snagging a cheap lunch at In-N-Out Burger, and taking a spin on the High Roller Observation Wheel.
If you are looking to partake in either the High Roller or FlyLinq Zipline which both call the Linq Promenade home, we recommend buying tickets online in advance to reserve your spot, and enable you to skip the ticket line. Caesars Palace is home to a hotel inside a hotel. Nobu Hotel, the world's first, is a boutique hotel within the larger resort. Stay here and you'll enjoy perks like a 24-hour in-room dining menu curated by acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa. 8. Do Not Disturb
If you're looking for a room at Caesars Palace that offers a little bit more seclusion, you'll want to check out the Laurel Collection rooms in the Octavius and Augustus towers. The rooms are located in a quieter area away from casino. They're also conveniently located close to the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis, the Bacchanal Buffet, Qua Baths & Spa and Restaurant Guy Savoy. The location will save you a lot of walking. Bonus: Some of the rooms are pet friendly.
9. Did Caesar Live Here?
The Forum Classic Emperor Suite.
Lots of people come to Caesars Palace and want to stay in room 2452, the room featured in the movie 'The Hangover.' It was inspired by parts of the Forum Classic Emperor Suite, but the room you see in the movie was just a set built for filming. Film buffs will recognize the Forum Classic Emperor Suite from the movie 'Rain Man,' however. The two-bedroom suite has a wet bar and a circular booth next to the iconic floor-to-ceiling windows that Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman danced in front of.
10. Dine Like a Baller on a Budget
Guy Savoy is a Michelin-starred French chef and his Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace serves the finest in gourmet food. If you want to try food from the acclaimed chef but the restaurant is not in your budget, we've got a hack for you. Head to Brioche by Guy Savoy near the hotel lobby for the chef's grab-and -go concept. You'll find sandwiches, desserts and the namesake flaky French pastry. Try sweet brioche with almond and candied fruit or Nutella and banana. There's also savory brioche with prosciutto and cheese.
